I was driving my girlfriend home tonight at around 11:50 PM. A guy and his girlfriend pulled next to us in a 199? 4 doors Civic at a red light. By the way it was raining a lot at the moment and there was a tick layer of water on the asphalt. He revved, so I looked at him with that "are you serious dude?". When the green light came, he started to spin like he was on soap. I started a little smoother so I didn't spin. I was doing my usual "rainy day speed" (25-30 mph) when he passed me in a curve, he was still accelerating, passing by me sliding around like there was butter on the road. He slowed down far in front of me when he was doing like 60 mph still in that long curve, at night, on water, in a 30 mph zone.
So here's my conclusion:
Did he win? Yes, I give him that one.
Was he smart to put his girlfriend's life at risk like that? I don't think so, and you?
Do I hope his girlfriend dumps him? Totally.
Ego is something, and my loved one is another.

Yay for you.  Yesterday On my way home 2 blocks before my off ramp was comming up. There was a lot of blocked traffic. I would have gotten off at the ramp before but I was busy looking at black Mustang Gt. As I get closer, there was an ambulance and fire trucks ahead, so I am thinking an accident. When I get closer to pass it there was an upside down car in the middle of the road. |

You gotta love kids that think 4 door civics are fast. SOme kid I went to high school with called me up the other day and told me that his 4 door civic could beat my Supra. SO I raced him. He got off the line better, but I caught up by second gear. By third gear I was a good 4 to 5 lenghts a head of him.

Hrmm... I have a 2007 Honda civic si Sedan with greddy turbo kit running 9.5psi 302WHP not all 4 door civic's are slow..... BTW from the out side it looks stock no rice mods no decals no rims no spoiler no window tint.. sleeper. |

Sweet. His was basically rice. Headers, intake, no muffler, and removed back seats were all that he ha done to it. Did I mention it has the d15 1.5 liter non vtec?

Sounds decent. Ricey comment though. An "I'm not rice" comment is basically, subconsciously admitting that you are, because you feel the need to defend your "non-riceness". |
