I was planning on getting an automotive rotisserie for car restoration. It's a hobby I am getting into. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody has used one of these before. And, is it better to spend a little extra money to get the hydraulic version or is it easy to use without hydraulics? Any suggestion would be helpful.

I would recommend hydraulics.  I've come to find out that convenience is worth the extra money.  S2K1 might have $0.02 too.

No $0.02, I'm broke...well now that I've loosened you all up, I have never used a rotisserie, but I would imagine the hydraulics do make it easier to rotate the car. Even though it's stripped to bare metal, it is still a hunk of metal that is a lot larger than you meaning it weighs a decent amount still. Let us know what you end up doing.

the only thing hydralics are good for on one is lifting the car off a rack up to ritating height you can freely rptate a car once they are on one and would not need hydraulics to turn one.
why would you want one? if you dont even know what body filler to use i dont think youll have much of a chance stripping one down to nothing put it on a rack and rebould the car.
what are you going to once its on there?
id:
 stitch weld the car
 gusset the strut mounts
remove all tar inside and out
weld in a semi hodden roll cage
repair and restore the floorpan and shave the engine bay.

anything short of that its a waste of time in my opinion
